Srushti Deshmukh has started working on her UPSC entrance in her third year of engineering degree. After graduation, she started to wonder whether she could be satisfied in an engineering job. Then, she realized that her dream was civil services and decided to pursue this. Her parents encouraged her to focus on civil work and to find an employment that would benefit the general public. Her motivation never waned, and remained focused solely on her goal to become an IAS. To be eligible for UPSC the candidate must be more diligent. She was preparing for UPSC subjects while she studied her engineering. The preparation for the exam was carried out every day. In just over a month and half, she prepared for her exam in engineering as well as completely avoiding social media. She believes that focusing is the most important factor to succeed in the government examination and be an officer in the civil service. She worked hard to achieve her dream of passing the exam at first attempt. Her habit was to go through newspapers in order to keep abreast of daily news. In the online world, she found a variety of study material and watched Rajya Sabha TV.
